People + Place Architects believe in handcrafted sustainable design.

Handcrafted, because each project is bespoke and designed to fit your needs – from initial site appraisal to completing your build on site.
Hand drawing helps us guide you through the full process, taking the time and care to give you a clear understanding of what it will feel like to walk through your project when it is finished.
We don’t use AI in our design process.
The design then moves back and forth from the sketch book to the computer to ensure a truly bespoke design can be followed by an accurate build – with a clear estimate of the build costs.
We use the same software that builders use to keep the prices aligned and allow you to stay abreast of the projects likely costs all the way through the design process. Having completed my own self-build renovation projects, I understand how stressful this time can be.
We then manage the works on site.
Instead of appointing a separate main contractor and paying their overheads and profit, we take on the role of managing the works, directly controlling the subcontractors and the build itself.
This means we are on-site for all aspects of the works, making sure your requirements are maintained with an architect’s attention to detail through the full duration of the build.
And sustainable ….. well that’s so important it has it’s own section.
There are examples of this process on the projects page and you can see further drawings and models on our pinterest page.
